Joe is a skilful signwriter, designer and ‘painty boy’ on the Dead Walk Designs Team, often seen painting intricate lettering or decoration a few metres above your head!
Q: What is your specialism at Dead Walk Designs?
Joe: Causing mischief. Also sign-painting and designs!
Q: What has been your favourite Dead Walk Designs project to work on?
Joe: I enjoyed the Wild West Train Ride at Flambards! Getting to paint a Wild West town is pretty much a painty boy’s dream.
Q: What has been the most unusual Dead Walk Designs project to work on?
Joe: When we worked on the ghost train, it was my first time airbrushing and using UV paint!
It was also interesting to work on a mural. I had done murals before, but this one was especially scenic compared to something more text-based.
Q: What would your dream project be?
Joe: I would love to do some proper Victorian stuff. A full-on Victorian museum!
Q: Can you share your favourite piece of work for Dead Walk Designs?
Joe: The Dead Walk Designs logo in the studio was really fun to paint! Shaun had designed the hand, based on a photo of his own, and I sketched it with text, then vectorised it. When I drew it, I thought it’d be fun to paint, and it was!
