Every member of the team at Dead Walk Designs has their own unique skills that they bring to our projects. In this week’s Q&A, we’re talking to Bevis, whose amazing theming and finishing work helps bring attractions to life!
Q: What is your role at Dead Walk Designs?
Bevis: I mostly work on sand and cement theming, and I’m also a finisher.
Q: What has been your favourite Dead Walk Designs project to work on?
Bevis: I really enjoyed Birdland’s penguin harbour. I worked with sand and cement for the boat. It was in the Cotswolds, we had a good crew and there was no stress!
Q: What has been the most unusual Dead Walk Designs project to work on?
Bevis: The most unusual project for me was probably doing the big fibreglass LEGO heads. I was involved in fibreglassing, finishing and filling the heads in to hide any bubbles or disfigurement.
Q: What kind of work would you like to try that you haven’t before?
Bevis: I’d like to get involved in the molds a bit more and learn how to do that!
Q: Is there a piece of work you’d like to share?
Bevis: I enjoyed it when we were in London and we made skulls in the wall for No Escape’s Gates of Hell room! That was done with wire mesh, and then sand and cement sculpting on top.
If you would like Dead Walk Designs to help with your theming project, say hello and share your idea!
