Lost Horizon - Q1 2021 Events
Client: Shangri-La / Lost Horizon Festival
Project: 2020/21 World Builds & Edits
Categories: 3D Design / VR
Date: December 2020
Following from the success of Lost Horizon 1 in July 2020, organisers Shangri-La decided to run a series of one off events covering a broad range of music and art styles over the winter and into the spring.
In LH1 we built the virtual SHITV theatre space, so were stoked to be asked to continue the great work the Sansar team had started on the other worlds and venues. This involved building new 3D signage and stages then editing the worlds to create unique spaces for each event, with animated logos, features, merchandise etc, whilst on the back end ingesting all the chroma keyed footage and linking scripts to get the space event ready.
Lost Horizon is in no way intended as a replacement for the real thing, although it was great to hear that the platform also creates a space for those who would otherwise not be able to visit a music festival or live event due to physical or mental disabilities.
With a new real world venue in Bristol we are excited to see what happens next in the world of Lost Horizon.
